Hello and Welcome

Beautiful, graceful, majestic and, sometimes, just downright funny, birds are also skittish and elusive, which make them a challenge to photograph. By studying birds in their natural habitats, I've learned to anticipate bird behavior to photograph them when they preen, display courtship plumage, take flight, dart in a pond to spear a fish, wade at low tide to dig for clams or grab a dragonfly from thin air.  In my photography, I work to capture images that express birds' personalities as they go about their daily social behaviors. It is a great pleasure for me to be able to combine my love of birds and photography and to share my photos with you here.

 

Photographing birds is still my passion, but I also enjoy portrait and still life photography.  Recently, I have ventured into creating photo collage.
